Praias Marbelo, Pop, Azul, Seca e Costa Verde - Beach of Espinho

With a pleasant climate and some 8 kilometres of fine sands facing these immense blue seas, Espinho is one of the main tourist resorts of northern Portugal. Only the long seaside pedestrian walkway separates the sands from the city.

From north to south, the Beaches change names depending on the particular café or restaurant operating in that area. The first within the urban limits is Marbelo Beach with its large sands playing host to volleyball, handball and football competitions. It is followed by Pop Beach, Azul Beach and Seca Beach, which is close to the municipal swimming pools and the railway station and correspondingly popular.

Prior to the first breakwater comes Costa Verde Beach, which has attracted generations of families from near and far year after year. With its good surfing and bodyboarding conditions, a school ensures enthusiasts have all that they need.
